SARASOTA — Auto repair shop Elite Motor Works is providing free oil changes and free safety evaluations for health care workers during the coronavirus crisis.

Elite Motor Works is at 1749 Cattlemen Road in Sarasota. According to a press release, it is offering pick up and delivery for the vehicles it works on. Employees will also clean and sanitize the car before it is returned.

Owner Jamie Caldwell sees this as an opportunity to continue work operations while providing a complementary service to those who need it most, a release says.

The staff at Elite Motor Works has also been calling customers to offer help, including picking up and delivering groceries.

“We’ve grown over the years not just because of our automotive skills but because of the relationships we’ve built," says Caldwell in a statement. "Our customers are like family to us and if they need help, we’re here. We see how hard the healthcare workers are working and dealing with all the stress during this time, so we decided to help out and this is the best way we could think of during this time."

Elite Motor Works is a European specialty auto service and repair center. Its specialty is higher-end vehicles, but it will be servicing all makes and models until further notice.
