SARASOTA — Nonprofit senior living community Aviva has named Ann Logan to its team as chief development officer.
Logan has more than 20 years of experience in the arts and nonprofit sectors, according to a press release. A statement says she has a record of success in major gifts, planned giving and annual funding and events.
In her new role, she will serve as the organization’s major gift fundraiser; develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising and marketing plan in partnership with the CEO; manage an ongoing annual giving program; oversee all special events; act as an advocate for the agency to promote the mission and goals; and cultivate and steward its donors and prospects.
Prior to joining Aviva, Logan led philanthropy efforts as chief development officer at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. Logan also served as the former executive director of the Sarasota Ballet.
“Her years of experience matched with her unbridled passion and enthusiasm for the invaluable work of nonprofits in our Sarasota community will be a tremendous asset to us,” says Aviva CEO Jay Solomon in a statement. "From the minute she stepped on our campus, I knew that Ann fit into the beautiful and intricate Aviva atmosphere, and for those reasons, I know that together as partners we will secure the future of our extraordinary residents.”
Talent management company MBJ Group led the nonprofit’s search for the position.
Aviva is a senior rental living community in Sarasota that offers a full continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation. The Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Housing Council Inc. established Aviva in 1993.
