SEMINOLE — Michael Attinella has resigned from his position as vice president, CFO and treasurer of Superior Group of Companies.

According to a press release, Attinella’s resignation was made official March 2 but he will stay on until March 13 to assist with an orderly transition of his duties. He will be succeeded by COO Andrew Demott Jr., who will retain his current title and responsibilities.

Demott, the release states, previously served as CFO, COO and treasurer from 2015 to August 2018, when Attinella assumed the CFO role.

“On behalf of the company, I want to thank Mike for his contributions over the last year and a half,” CEO Michael Benstock states in the release. “While his stay with us was brief, he was able to make significant contributions to the company. He was instrumental in driving the successful refinance of the company’s debt obligations as well as supporting many other operational initiatives. We wish Mike continued success in the future.”

Superior (NASDAQ: SGC) reported revenue of $376.7 million in 2019, up from $346.35 million in 2018.
