Restaurant announces departure from downtown location

Lemon Tree Kitchen will seek a new location where it can continue operations as soon as possible.

SARASOTA — Lemon Tree Kitchen will leave its location on Palm Avenue in downtown Sarasota, and the owners plan to seek a new location. 

Tableseide Restaurant Group, the parent company of Lemon Tree Kitchen, has occupied the 1289 N. Palm Ave. location since 2014. Lemon Tree Kitchen, formerly Louie’s Modern, was renovated in 2019.

Lemon Tree Kitchen will seek a new location where it can continue operations as soon as possible, according to a press release. 

“The past year operating Lemon Tree Kitchen has been a wonderful experience," says Joe Guli, CEO of Tableseide Restaurant Group, in a statement. "I am proud of our team of talented chefs, managers, servers and bartenders who made Lemon Tree Kitchen what it is today. We were honored to be a part of such a wonderful history of the downtown Sarasota area and look forward to passing the torch to the new vendor."

Guli added, "We are excited to shift our focus to our new location for Lemon Tree Kitchen — we are actively seeking the perfect location where we can continue to develop the Lemon Tree Kitchen concept and make it even better." 

Sarasota-based Tableseide Restaurant Group is the parent company that owns and operates local gathering spaces including Libby’s Neighborhood Brasserie (with locations in Southside Village and Lakewood Ranch), Lemon Tree Kitchen, Circo (in the DeSota building next to Whole Foods) and Tableseide Catering. The company did $13 million in revenue n 2019.
