ST. PETERSBURG — PowerChord Inc., a digital marketing company, has promoted Bill Volmuth from president to CEO.
Volmuth, according to a press release, joined St. Petersburg-based PowerChord as president in July 2019 and led a company-wide rebranding campaign. He has more than 25 years of experience in the tech sector, including leadership positions at software, engineering and cybersecurity companies across North America.
In his new role, the release states, Volmuth will be responsible for growing lead generation for global brands that use PowerChord’s proprietary software-as-a-service platform.
“Leading PowerChord’s innovative and driven team for the last year has been one of the greatest privileges of my career,” Volmuth states in the release. “Together, we’ve taken the company’s platform and services to the next level, both by further optimizing local lead generation for our customers, and enhancing our platform reporting and visibility. I’m humbled and excited to take on the role of CEO and continue the momentum we have built together.”
Volmuth succeeds Lanny Tucker, who came to PowerChord from Celebration-based Channel Intelligence, acquired in 2013 by Google.
"As president, Bill has been instrumental in aligning the strategic and operational needs for our future growth,” PowerChord founder and board chairman Patrick Schunk states in the release. “His ability to build teams and empower them to collaborate and innovate at a high level is evidenced in the strong momentum seen within our PowerChord platform. Decisiveness, empowerment and vision are critical in today's marketing and technology space and with Bill taking on the new role of CEO, he brings a refreshing mix of all these attributes and more to PowerChord’s future.”
Privately held PowerChord, with 70 employees, generated $25 million in gross revenue in 2018, the latest year it released financial data.
