TAMPA — Midtown Tampa, a Bromley Cos. mixed-use project set to open in February, has named Kathleen Hackshaw general manager of retail operations.

Hackshaw, according to a press release, is a highly experienced veteran of retail operations management. She previously served as director of retail operations for Bloomfield Holdings LLC, based in Jackson, Miss.

“As general manager, Kathy will be the face of Midtown Tampa for our tenants and the community,” states Pat Westerhouse, vice president of CASTO Southeast, the company responsible for managing Midtown Tampa’s 200,000 square feet of retail space, in the release. “She’s a dynamic, experienced leader with a stellar background in the industry. We couldn’t be more excited to have Kathy on our team.”

Midtown Tampa’s retail tenants, the release states, already include Royal Pets Market & Resort, Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Café, Shake Shack, REI Co-op and Whole Foods Market. The 22-acre, 1.8-million-square-foot project is intended to connect downtown Tampa to the Westshore business district. It will also include a hotel and office tower.
