LAKEWOOD RANCH — Southwest Florida homebuilder Neal Communities had 99 home sales in June 2020, an almost 29% increase over June 2019 sales.
The strong activity continues the rebound that began in May, after a market dip in March and April due to buyer caution related to COVID-19, according to a press release. Neal Communities' market region is from Manatee to Collier county.
“We’re encouraged by the healthy interest and activity we continue to see,” says Pat Neal, founder and chairman of Neal Communities, in a statement. “Despite any lingering economic or health uncertainties, people are continuing to buy homes.”
Neal Signature Homes, the company’s luxury home division, sold 12 homes in June. “Neal Signature Homes definitely outperformed our expectations in June,” says Neal in the release.
Neal Communities transitioned to virtual homebuying methods at the end of March to safely continue the buying process. The statement says 47% of buyers in June resided outside Florida, compared with 31% in June 2019.
In June, Neal Communities announced its first entry into the Charlotte County market, opening its sales center at Kings Gate in Port Charlotte. The homebuilder had seen four sales at the 55+ community by early July.
Neal Communities, based in Lakewood Ranch, has built over 15,000 new homes in more than 90 communities from Tampa to Naples. Additional Neal Communities brands include Neal Signature Homes, Neal Land Ventures, Charlene Neal PureStyle, Waterscapes Pools & Spas, Neal Communities Funding and Allegiant Title Professionals.
Neal Communities reported $412.5 million in gross revenue in 2019.
