FORT MYERS — Cancer-focused genetic testing services firm NeoGenomics has chosen Seagate Development Group to build its 150,000-square-foot headquarters.
Seagate will be the developer, construction manager and site contractor of for the facility, worth at least $25 million, on a 14-acre site just west of Interstate 75 and north of Alico Road, along Three Oaks Parkway, according to a statement. The new building will house NeoGenomics’ administration and an expanded laboratory. The state-of-the-art facility will incorporate innovative technology to deliver comprehensive oncology testing for physicians and their patients, the release adds.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with such a dynamic organization to bring their vision to life,” Seagate Partner and CEO Matt Price, says in the release. “The cutting-edge facility will be the first of its kind in our area and will be instrumental in helping advance economic development throughout Lee County. The Seagate team is proud to be a part of a project of this magnitude.”
Seagate is expected to break ground on the facility in 2020 and open the facility in 2021.
Publicly-traded NeoGenomics did $276.4 million in revenue in 2018. Seagate posted $62.8 million in revenue in 2018.
