TAMPA — Lori Baggett has been named managing shareholder at the Tampa office of Carlton Fields, a law firm that has locations in six states and Washington, D.C.

Baggett, according to a press release, takes over the role from longtime Carlton Fields attorney Luis “Lu” Prats, who served as managing shareholder for the past two years. Prats will remain with the firm and continue his practice as a construction attorney.

“We are grateful to Lu for his years of excellent leadership of the Tampa office,” Carlton Fields President and CEO Gary Sasso states in the release. “As Lori takes the reins, we look forward to continued growth and success. Lori is a dynamic and collaborative leader who is committed to the core values of the firm, including first-rate client service, service to our community and the profession, and an appreciation of diversity and inclusion.”

Baggett’s practice, the release states, focuses on labor and employment law, particularly workplace safety and health issues.

“I am honored to lead our Tampa office, which is defined by a deep bench of skilled lawyers and professional staff who are devoted to serving our clients and our community,” Baggett states in the release. “Carlton Fields has been my home since I started my career as a lawyer, and I look forward to building on the firm’s success.”
