Telecom infrastructure firm expands to region, plans to hire 100 people

TAMPA — Fast Wave Communications, an Atlanta company that designs and builds 5G cellular towers, has opened an office in Tampa.

According to a press release, the six-year-old company has built hundreds of cell sites for AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular. It has 50 employees at its Atlanta headquarters and expects to hire 100 in Tampa by mid-2020.  

“We’re currently recruiting tower technicians and drone technicians,” Fast Wave Director of Operations Craig Davis states in the release. “Our vision is to be the best wireless and communications company in the nation. We’re taking steps now to perform at an international level within the next two years, providing the latest technologies for the leading service providers.”

In addition to cell site design and construction, Fast Wave's services also include network systems integration and project management, the release states.
