The commercial component of Sarasota-based real estate brokerage firm Michael Saunders & Co. has joined TCN Worldwide Real Estate Services, a consortium of brokerage firms that network to grow their individual businesses.
“This is the best affiliation our group could have,” says Scott Cietek, MSC Commercial’s director.
MSC Commercial becomes just the second brokerage firm in Florida to join TCN, a Dallas-based referral group formed in 1989. ROI Commercial Property Brokerage, of Tampa, is the only other firm in the network from the state.
In all, TCN has 1,500 member brokers in North America, is in 200 markets globally and its member firms do more than $40 billion in annual transactions.
“We’re the biggest real estate company you’ve never heard of,” says H. Ross Ford III, TCN’s president and CEO, during a meeting with MSC late last month. “Our sole focus is to help our member firms grow. We help level the playing field.”
TCN’s members, which are typically smaller brokerage houses as compared to Cushman & Wakefield or JLL, focus primarily on office, industrial and retail deals and 80% of its transactions are leases, Ford says.
In 2019, TCN added four new firms to its network in Texas, Virginia and South Korea. Thus far this year, MSC is one of three new firms to join the network’s fold.
