Developer unveils plans for new 700-acre, gated neighborhood

LAKEWOOD RANCH — Forestar Group Inc., a national residential lot developer, has unveiled plans for a new community: Star Farms at Lakewood Ranch.

Star Farms at Lakewood Ranch will be a multi-generational, 700-acre, gated neighborhood, according to a statement. It is expected to have 1,500 single family homes, paired villas and townhomes with amenities, clubs and hospitality services. It will be within Lakewood Ranch, a 33,000-acre master-planned community in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
