Accounting firms announce merger

NAPLES — Financial planning and accounting services firm Capital Care Group Certified Public Accountants has merged with the firm of Mary E Lewis-McLaughlin P.A.

Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

“We are excited to have Mary Beth Join our team,” Capital Care Managing Partner Steven Phillips says in a statement. “Her extensive experience will add to our expertise and reputation for providing high-quality tax and accounting services to the community.”

Capital Care is a tax and accounting services group that has been in operation for over 30 years. Marybeth Lewis-McLaughlin, focusing on tax preparation and basic bookkeeping and accounting services, in addition to more in-depth services such as compilations, reviews of financial statements and tax planning, has been in business Southwest Florida for over 20 years.

“I am excited to join the CCGCPAS team,” Lewis-McLaughlin says in the release. “It’s a personal relationship to get to know clients and together develop a realistic, comprehensive plan through optimizing their financial strengths and identifying opportunities to help them achieve their financial goals. The added resources and expertise will enable us to continue to service our existing clients and provide additional support during these challenging times.”

The firms will operate under the Capital Care Group Certified Public Accountants name, with offices in Naples and Fort Myers. The merger was effective Dec. 14.
