In response to the growing complexity of its business and a desire to take advantage of strategic opportunities, Lakeland-based SVN Saunders Ralston Dantzler Real Estate has tapped one of its asset managers to be the company’s chief financial officer.
Tyler Davis, who joined the firm 18 months ago, will continue to work as an asset manager and agent while filling the new role within the 24-year-old company.
“We’re looking to do more on the real estate investment side of the business, and we recognized that we really needed to boost our accounting practices first,” says Dean Saunders, the brokerage’s founder and managing director.
“Tyler has proved his mettle, and now we’ll have more accountability so we can go into the next phase of what we want to do.”
Prior to joining SVN Saunders, Davis spent more than five years working at accounting and consulting giant PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where he executed tax planning and provision to insurers nationwide. In 2014, Davis became a certified public accountant.
“I look forward to helping align our financial strategies and structures with the ongoing expansion of our market reach,” Davis says of his new role at SVN Saunders.
The company, which focuses primarily on land transactions and has roughly 60 agents and support staff, has completed transactions with a total value of more than $3 billion in its history.
