LAKELAND — TRYP Air Charter, a private charter flight operator headquartered at the New Castle County Executive Airport in Indiana, has expanded to Lakeland Linder Regional Airport in Lakeland.

According to a press release, the company’s nine-passenger TurboProp Pilatus PC12 airplane can provide service to Dallas, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and many other cities. The aircraft is housed at the airport’s Sheltair FBO Private Aviation reception space, which will allow passengers to bypass TSA screening and enjoy a VIP, luxury experience prior to takeoff.

"We are very excited to be moving to this larger facility at Lakeland airport," TRYP Air Charter President Elliot Mintzer states in the release. "It will allow us to service our client base as well as open up the door for us to begin larger operations.”

The Pilatus PC12, the release states, can fly at 28,000 feet and 300 mph, allowing it to reach thousands of airports across the country.
