CLEARWATER — AR Homes, a Clearwater-based franchisor of custom home-building franchises, has promoted Don Whetro from executive vice president to COO.

Whetro, according to a press release, joined AR Homes in early 2019 as its Midwest group vice president, operating out of the company’s Indianapolis office. In October, he was promoted to executive vice president of franchise operations. He will relocate to the firm’s Clearwater headquarters to serve as COO.

"Don has proven to not only be effective in his EVP role, but he has also exhibited excellent leadership, communications, and coaching skills," AR Homes CEO Jim Rosewater states in the release. "He has been a tremendous help to me in my position and he has the right perspectives and abilities to help our team better support and serve our customers."

In his new role, the release states, Whetro will oversee design and interior design, in addition to his prior responsibilities.
