Walmart opens new fuel station, convenience store

The fuel station functions similar to a traditional gas station and convenience store.

BRADENTON — Walmart opened a new fuel station and convenience store in Bradenton on Aug. 12.

The 1,440-square foot fuel center is at 5305 Cortez Road W. in the parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter, according to a press release. 

The fuel center is initially open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. It functions similar to a traditional gas station and convenience store.

The Bradenton fuel center has 16 fuel pumps plus food and beverage options inside. Items available include grab-and-go deli items, snacks, fruits, cheeses and dispensed beverages, including a bean-to-cup coffee machine, an ICEE frozen beverage machine, a wall of cold beverages and a walk-in beer cooler, the release states. 

A customer appreciation event is tentatively planned for later this year. Walmart has 384 retail locations in Florida. The company employs 106,908 associates in Florida.
