Restaurant group names chief operating officer

Prior to joining American Dreams Restaurant Group, Michelle Schlingmann worked at Feld Entertainment for six years.

SARASOTA — American Dreams Restaurant Group has appointed Michelle Schlingmann its chief operating officer. 

The Sarasota-based restaurant group operates two restaurants, Duval’s Fresh Local Seafood and Element Modern Grill.

A native of Philadelphia, Schlingmann has leadership experience in the entertainment, home services, tourism development and hospitality industries, according to a press release. Schlingmann has dedicated her 27-year career to enhancing operational procedures with a focus on people and business development.

Prior to joining American Dreams Restaurant Group, Schlingmann worked for six years at Feld Entertainment Inc., the parent company of Disney On Ice, Jurassic World Live Tour, Monster Jam and other live entertainment shows. As a business partner at Feld, Schlingmann worked with leaders and their teams to develop ways of aligning business objectives with people and technology assets to streamline processes and allow the business units to work with greater efficiency, a release says.
