SARASOTA — Pinkerton, Harkins and Mehserle Private Wealth has announced several hires and promotions.

The moves come in response to the firm's recent rapid growth and anticipated expansion, a press release says.

New to the practice are Chief Operating Officer Donna Guinta and Registered Client Service Associate Janet Buley.

Guinta is from Syracuse, N.Y., where she spent the past 18 years as vice president of operations, agency and systems with Cadaret, Grant & Co. The firm is an independent broker-dealer and registered investment advisor with 475 offices in 27 states, according to a press release.

Buley was previously a financial advisor with Region’s Bank and Wells Fargo Advisors. She was also employed for several years with AIG, where she administered retirement plans.

Pinkerton also promoted Kathy Henderson to vice president in charge of client services. Certified Financial Planner and partner Bill Mehserle was named branch operations manager, filling a position vacated by retiring partner Michael Harkins.

Pinkerton Private Wealth focuses on wealth planning and advice for high net worth individuals and families, family foundations and other institutions. It was founded in 1968. The firm serves clients in Sarasota County and beyond, including Florida and 34 other U.S. states.
