FORT MYERS — Vistage Florida recently launched in Southwest Florida and has appointed Damon Canfield to chair the local group, Vistage 2025.
As a business advisory and executive coaching organization, Vistage provides a forum for CEOs, business owners and executives to confidentially discuss challenges they face and gain a fresh perspective from outside experts, according to a news release. Vistage groups meet one time per month and are made up of members from a variety of non-competing industries.
Canfield has more than 35 years of experience in all facets of business and has held numerous executive leadership positions with General Electric (GE), the release says.
In 2000, he launched New Path International (NPI), an end-to-end product development company specializing in design, engineering and global manufacturing, where he grew revenues to over $80 million in seven years. “I am looking forward to be a part of an extraordinary group of executives,” Canfield says in the release. “Having the opportunity to collaborate with great thought leaders throughout Southwest Florida and building long-term relationships will be a rewarding experience for everyone.”
Canfield is currently interviewing prospective members of Vistage 2025.
Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Vistage Florida is an affiliate of Vistage Worldwide, a 60-year-old company with 23,000 members across 20 countries. Vistage Florida recently appointed entrepreneur Kimberly Martinez to head up the Sarasota chapter, which left the region in 2012.
