TAMPA — Meat Market, a modern steakhouse concept that debuted 10 years ago in Miami Beach’s South Beach district, has arrived in Tampa’s Hyde Park neighborhood, at 1607 W. Snow Ave.
With a hyper-local menu of fresh meats, seafood and produce overseen by Executive Chef Sean Brasel, the 6,000-square-foot restaurant can seat up to 140 guests indoors and 80 outdoors, according to a press release. The eatery also features a private dining room that seats up to 20 guests, as well as a chef’s table that can accommodate 10.
“We are thrilled to have the much-anticipated and highly acclaimed Meat Market now open in Hyde Park Village,” General Manager Nicole Dee states in the release. “This concept brings an elevated vibrancy to your traditional steakhouse, and we are elated to have the Tampa Bay community experience it.”
Tampa represents the fourth expansion for Meat Market, which also has restaurants in Palm Beach and San Juan, Puerto Rico. According to the release, Tornek partnered with 10 Tampa Bay business owners — giving each an undisclosed stake in the restaurant — in an effort to develop the Hyde Park Meat Market location in accordance with local tastes.
“Meat Market is a place where every guest feels valued the moment they walk in, and that attention and care is put into every facet of the physical space and dining experience,” CEO David Tornek states in the release. “Each decision was made with intention, and we’ve thought about our community at large, which is why you’ll find vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options on our menu, too.”
