LARGO — Essentials PetCare recently opened a walk-in veterinary clinic in a Walmart Supercenter in Kaufman, Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.

According to a press release, it’s the first of nine walk-in clinics that the Largo-based firm, which also operates a facility in Port Richey, will open in Lone Star State Walmart stores.

The clinics offer routine vaccinations and treatment for minor illnesses, such as ear infections, common skin conditions and urinary issues, the release states, without the need for an appointment.

“We are delighted to bring our walk-in clinics to Kaufman,” states Jesica Workman, the company’s managing veterinarian in Texas, in the release. “As both a mom and a pet parent, I know first-hand how important it is for families to have access to convenient and affordable, quality care.”

Walmart stores in the Texas communities of Anna, Cross Roads, Fort Worth, Frisco, Gainesville, Prosper, Royse City and Weatherford are set to open Essential PetCare walk-in clinics beginning in June, the release states.
