Bank expands presence with loan production office

TAMPA — The Bank of Tampa, in an effort to extend its brand, has opened a loan production office in downtown Plant City.

Nick Thurston, a veteran Plant City banker who joined The Bank of Tampa in 2018, will lead the office, located at 120 N. Collins St.

“We invest in the community by creating a physical presence,” Thurston states in a press release. “For more than a year, we have been working to bring The Bank of Tampa’s brand to Plant City. Now that we have a physical presence here, right in the heart of downtown Plant City, I look forward to watching us become an integral part of the Plant City community.”

Thurston, the release states, has more than 20 years of experience in banking and has been active in numerous Plant City community organizations.

“The opening of our new Plant City loan production office demonstrates our commitment to further improving our clients’ experience, specifically as it relates to our loan process, by placing a priority on convenience, while maintaining our mission to build relationships in the communities we serve,” Thurston adds, via the release.

With more than $1.6 billion in total assets, the privately held Bank of Tampa is one of the largest community banks in the Tampa Bay region.
