SARASOTA — The Sarasota Yacht Club recently completed a major addition to its clubhouse with a new $1.2 million Spinnaker pool bar and outdoor kitchen.

Sarasota Yacht Club member and architect Mark Sultana, the principal architect for DSDG, designed the addition, according to a press release. Sultana continued the coastal contemporary design that was used for the main clubhouse and his work, the release adds, is defined by clean lines and natural materials and textures.

Michael Dooley of MM Dooley Group Inc. served as the lead contractor for the six-month project. The project also included new pavers and poolside furniture from Outdoor by Design, the release adds. The full-service bar has seating for 20, four large-screen televisions and a free-standing kitchen.

Sarasota Yacht Club Commodore Hugh McIlrevey says, “The New Spinnaker Bar & Grill is the perfect place to meet on the weekends and will be the ideal location for football season.”
