Sports organization makes slew of personnel moves

Minor League Baseball hires three leaders and promotes several others.

ST. PETERSBURG — Via new hires and promotions, St. Petersburg-based Minor League Baseball has made several key additions to its management team.

In a press release, MiLB announced the hiring of Laurie Nygren as senior digital project manager, Tajma Brown as e-commerce coordinator and Anthony Franceschini as office coordinator.

Nygren has worked for high-profile organizations such as Fidelity Investments and Vanderbilt University, while Brown’s resume includes stops with the Philadelphia 76ers and Middle-Atlantic PGA. Franceschini brings experience with the Baltimore Orioles, Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Tarpons to his new role, the release states.

Meanwhile, the organization, in the statement, says Tim Brunswick has been promoted to senior vice president of baseball and business operations; Heather Raburn has been promoted to director of partnership marketing; Tara Thornton has been promoted to director of human resources; Mark Labban has been promoted to assistant director of special events and affiliate programming; Cory Bernstine has been promoted to assistant director of marketing strategy and research; Paige Hegedus has been promoted to manager of special events and affiliate programming; and Belicia Montgomery has been named manager of business and data processes.
