Law firm announces new management roles

Jennifer Compton also assumed the role of managing partner of the Sarasota office.

SARASOTA — The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick LLP announced the newly elected members of the firm’s management committee, including Sarasota attorney Jennifer Compton.

The firm is led by the management committee, comprised of nine partners, as well as the chief operating and chief financial officers.

According to a press release, Compton also assumed the role of managing partner of the Sarasota office. 

Compton is board certified by the Florida Bar in labor and employment law. She previously served as the Sarasota marketing partner.

“It is an honor to have been elected by my colleagues to serve in this role,” Compton says in a statement.

Sharon Fulop, in the firm’s Toledo office, also joined the management committee. Thomas Dillon was elected chair of the management committee. He leads the Toledo office.

M. Scott Aubry, Thomas Blank, Mark Catchur, Ronald Christaldi, W. Reed Hauptman and Steven Meckler will continue to serve on the committee for their elected terms, a statement says. Christaldi is active in the Tampa business community. 

Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick was founded in 1925. It is a full-service law firm with more than 260 lawyers and seven offices in Tampa and Sarasota; Toledo and Columbus, Ohio; Charleston, S.C.; Charlotte, N.C. and Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
