High-rise independent living community plans expansion

FORT MYERS — A downtown Fort Myers riverfront high-rise independent living community will expand to include assisted living residences.

The community, Campo Felice, which opened in 2017 with 323 luxury all-inclusive apartments, will build an adjacent facility to provide assisted living and memory care support, according to a statement. The plan has been approved by the Fort Myers officials and the project is expected to break ground later this year.

“This development will not only meet the growing demand for affordable progressive care in Fort Myers, but also offer a unique and pleasant living experience with high-end amenities, exceptional services (and) state of the art technology to monitor residents’ well-being in real time, all in the best downtown location,” says Campo Felice owner Rob Harris in the statement.

The new upscale community will include 92 private assisted living residences and 32 private memory care apartments.

Titsch & Co. Architects of Fort Myers will design the expansion, which will include more than 129,000 square feet of residences and medical offices. The eight-story senior living community will include activities and entertainment, concierge and transportation services, onsite nursing, pharmacy services and medical facilities.
