Engineering company promotes leader as firm expands

SARASOTA — Geotechnical engineering company Universal Engineering Sciences Inc. promoted Michael Ryan to assistant sales manager of the Southwestern region as the company continues to expand in Florida. 

According to a press release, his region includes south and west Florida. Ryan, under the direction of Vice President of Sales and Marketing Joe Casha, will be responsible for designing and implementing a strategic business plan to expand the company's customer base in current and new territories.

Ryan has been with Universal Engineering Sciences for over 11 years. He has worked in the firm’s Sarasota and St. Petersburg branches as a business development representative, the release adds. 

“Mike is going to be a great asset to Universal because of his background in sales and marketing, but also working in a ‘big city’ environment that will benefit him with his new territory,” says Casha in a statement. “He brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position with a marketing background that will help Universal’s bottom line in building our brand and business.”
