MANATEE COUNTY — Restaurant chain First Watch has opened Sun & Fork by First Watch, a new fast-casual all-day breakfast and lunch concept, in Nashville, Tenn.

According to a press release, the restaurant opened in a space that formerly operated as Bread & Co.

The new restaurant is east Manatee County-based First Watch’s only fast-casual restaurant. It joins nine First Watch restaurants in the Nashville area.

“After operating Bread & Co. for five years, it became clear to us that there was a gap in the marketplace for quick, convenient and healthy options made with simple, fresh ingredients," says First Watch CEO Chris Tomasso in a statement. “With Sun & Fork, we’ve created a restaurant for Vanderbilt students and staff, the surrounding medical community and other local area businesses and residents to enjoy those healthy options and other First Watch favorites.”

The Sun & Fork menu includes build-your-own bowls along with items from First Watch’s menu, including Avocado Toast, Million Dollar Bacon and the Elevated Egg Sandwich.

First Watch has operated restaurants in Nashville since 2011. It acquired Nashville-based Bread & Co. in 2014, when the concept operated two area locations.

First Watch has more than 350 restaurants in 31 states, including more than 290 First Watch restaurants, 55 The Egg & I restaurants and one Sun & Fork restaurant.
