NAPLES — It was a big year for A. Vernon Allen Builder principal Ryan Benson. First he was re-elected as president of the Collier Building Industry Association. Then he was named a delegate to the boards of directors of both the Florida Home Builders Association and the National Association of Homebuilders, all at the age of 37.
Those accomplishments earned Benson the attention of the CBIA, which named him Builder of the Year for 2018, according to a statement. The CBIA is a nonprofit association of industry professionals engaged in industry advocacy, education, networking and philanthropy.
In addition to leading the CBIA and serving on state and national homebuilders association boards, the 15-year veteran of the construction industry is also vice chairman of the Florida Homebuilders Association Local Presidents’ Council.
Benson and business partner Andy Bringardner acquired A. Vernon Allen Builders in 2015, growing the company from $11 million in annual revenues to $32 million in 2017. It is the largest builder in the exclusive Port Royal community.
