TAMPA — A-LIGN, a Tampa-based company that specializes in cybersecurity compliance services, appointed Sean Butler executive vice president of people as it prepares to hire at least 100 workers over the next 12 months.

According to a press release, the hiring surge was made possible by a $54.4 million investment from FTV Capital. A-LIGN already employs more than 200 people.

Butler, the release states, brings extensive human resources management experience to the role, which will see him guide strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations related to A-LIGN’s workforce. Previously, he served as chief human resources officer at Apollo Beach-based Blue Grace Logistics, and he spent 18 years as vice president of human resources of Cargill/Mosaic Phosphate Companies, a Fortune 500 company with 15,000 global employees.

“We’re excited to welcome Sean Butler as A-LIGN’s first EVP of people,” A-LIGN CEO Scott Price states in the release. “We look forward to utilizing his extensive background to oversee talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training and continuing to develop our people-first culture. His experience in driving high performance in a multi-generational, globally diverse employee population is exactly what we need as we continue to go to summit for our clients and employees in 2019.”
