TAMPA — McKinney, Texas-based Scoop Soldiers has arrived in Tampa to do the dirty work of picking up after pets.
According to a press release, Tampa Bay has become one of the most pet-friendly metro areas in the country, making it a top market for expansion for Scoop Soldiers. The company allows dog owners to outsource the smelly task of poop pickup to a professional who will clean up the yard and responsibly dispose of waste.
“Tampa is an ideal place to call home for both dog and owner, and we see a big opportunity in what will be our 10th market,” states Josh Cahill, CEO and co-founder of Scoop Soldiers, in the release. “Our customers trust us with the most unpleasant aspect of dog ownership, and we’re excited to build meaningful relationships with residents here and become a difference-maker in the community by helping the city stay clean and safe.”
Pet waste, the release states, is a source of harmful bacteria and parasites that can make their way into urban watersheds and contribute to air pollution. To reduce such effects, local law requires pet owners to pick up after their animals. Scoop Soldiers makes it easy for dog parents to comply and keep yards poop-free at a reasonable price, as a visit costs on average less than $15.
Scoop Soldiers also recently expanded to Orlando, and its services will soon be available in Jacksonville, according to the release.
