CLEARWATER — Big Storm Brewing Co. has planted its flag in the Buckeye State, striking a deal with Ohio Eagle Distributing that will see the Clearwater brewer’s products available for sale in the Cincinnati area later this month.
“Ohio’s craft beer scene is impressive and stronger than ever,” Big Storm co-owner L.J. Govoni states in a press release. “We’re excited to be a part of this energy and to have the opportunity to share our unique and dynamic beers with consumers in the Cincinnati region.”
According to the release, Ohio Eagle Distributing will offer two of Big Storm’s most popular beers: Tropic Pressure Florida Ale and Key Lime Shandy. The company will also distribute Big Storm’s Bromosa Brut IPA and the award-winning Oktoberfest Märzen Lager.
A subsidiary of Lakewood Ranch-based Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, Ohio Eagle Distributing sells about 3.5 million cases of beer annually, the release states, and serves nine counties in southwest Ohio.
“We are beyond thrilled to work with Ohio Eagle,” Govoni states in the release. “Their commitment to relationship building and execution is second to none.”
