SARASOTA — Le Macaron French Pastries announced plans to open more than 10 locations throughout Texas.

According to a press release, the growth will occur through franchise partnerships. The Sarasota-based company aims to open the new locations within the next five years.

Le Macaron French Pastries now has more than 50 locations across the U.S. Three franchises are open in the Houston and San Antonio areas.

"Texas has proven to be the perfect market for our business — the community has been incredibly supportive and the community appreciates the elevated flavors our pastries have to offer," says Mervis Ruiz, owner of Le Macaron in Cypress, Texas, in a statement. "I look forward to watching Le Macaron French Pastries further expand its presence throughout Texas as we have become a household name across the state."

Franchisees can expect an investment from $91,750 to $127,000 for a mobile cart and $146,000 to $375,500 for a traditional café, the release adds.

"The thriving economy and diversity of cultures in Texas makes the state an optimal place for Le Macaron French Pastries to grow," says Rosalie Guillem, CEO and co-founder of Le Macaron French Pastries, in the statement. "We are confident our versatile mobile cart franchise opportunity will give local entrepreneurs the opportunity to invest in the brand while reducing the high overhead costs that are often associated with opening a business."

Le Macaron French Pastries was founded in 2009 by France natives and mother-daughter team Rosalie Guillem and Audrey Saba. The brand began franchising in 2012. It offers more than 20 flavors of macarons as well as pastries, gelato, coffee, cakes and éclairs.
