TAMPA — Gunster, a full-service business law firm headquartered in West Palm Beach, has named Gregory Rix a shareholder at its Tampa office.
Rix, according to a press release, joins the firm’s real property practice and will focus on eminent domain and property rights. He brings decades of experience to the role, having shepherded hundreds of eminent domain cases from inception to trial and appeal across the state.
“Greg’s extensive and varied experience in eminent domain, along with his background as a certified real estate appraiser, is a strong addition to this practice and benefits our current and future clients,” states Bill Perry, Gunster’s managing shareholder, in the release. “He has a solid record of industry-leading work for clients large and small, and with Gunster’s statewide reach, we are positioned to deliver unrivaled representation to clients in all corners of Florida.”
Rix has represented clients ranging from owners of class-A office buildings and shopping centers to single-family homeowners and cattle ranchers, the release states. Prior to obtaining his law degree, he worked for eight years as a real estate appraiser, focusing on eminent domain cases, and testified as an expert witness in eminent domain cases.
