FORT MYERS — Sanibel Captiva Bank has expanded its IT department, hiring Will Decatur as senior systems engineer at the bank’s College Parkway operations center.
His responsibilities include maintaining the bank server, network and security infrastructure. He will also be involved in systems support, IT security auditing, infrastructure improvement and IT vendor relations, according to a statement.
Decatur relocated to Southwest Florida from Texas, where he worked with the Texas Education Agency as a senior network engineer and helped create a $50 million software application used in Texas school systems. Prior to that, he was a technology firm partner in the Virgin Islands and worked for several Arizona companies as a network engineer. Decatur has more 20 technology certifications.
Founded in 2003, Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has two locations on Sanibel Island and five in Fort Myers. The bank is nationally ranked in the top 25 as a best-performing community bank by S&P Global Market Intelligence from among more than 4,500 banks with assets of less than $1 billion.
