TAMPA — Middle-market audit, tax and consulting firm RSM US LLP will relocate its Tampa office to Sparkman Wharf, part of the new Water Street Tampa development, in July.

According to a press release, RSM will be one of the first commercial tenants at the waterfront development, which has taken the place of Channelside Bay Plaza and features an open-air bar and public plaza and restaurants housed inside repurposed cargo containers.

The firm is moving from a smaller office at 100 S. Ashley Drive, in downtown Tampa, to a 9,500-square-foot space at Sparkman Wharf that it says will better accommodate its rapid growth.

“When RSM opened its Tampa location at 100 S. Ashley Drive in 2015, the firm had seven employees,” states Danny Jackson, who leads the Chicago-based firm’s Tampa office, in the release. “It is now on track to employ more than 100 by 2020. The Sparkman Wharf office offers 9,500 square feet of space, 5,000 more than RSM’s current location. It will also enable RSM’s people, clients and visitors to be part of the action of the Sparkman Wharf area, enjoying the recreational lawn, dining garden and craft biergarten, as Water Street Tampa develops.”

According to the release, RSM has signed an additional agreement to move to the new office tower being built at 1001 Water Street when it's completed in 2021.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to be one of the first offices located in Water Street Tampa,” Jackson states in the release. “We’ve been bursting at the seams in our current space and with our continued growth, this move is only the beginning.”
