Bank completes first free-standing Florida branch

Stevens Construction finishes building MidWestOne Bank office in Fort Myers with assistance from local architecture and design firms.

The new Fort Myers branch of MidwestOne Bank is the bank's first free-standing location in Florida.

FORT MYERS — Three Fort Myers firms teamed up to design and build the first Florida free-standing location of MidWestOne Bank, at 8690 Gladiolus Dr., Fort Myers. Stevens Construction built the 6,689-square-foot bank that includes seven offices, conference room, lobby, coffee bar, tellers and a drive-through.

The interior of MidWestOne Bank features contemporary finishes of walnut veneer and backlit panels at the teller stations.

Architectural services were provided by Christopher J. Lee Architects of Fort Myers, and Benson & Associates Interior Design, also of Fort Myers, was the interior designer.

The building features an interior decor of walnut and natural maple veneer cabinetry, stone accents and backlit wall panels at the teller stations.

The Stevens Construction team included project manager Michael Waskiewicz; superintendent Mark Battaglia; and project administrator Rebeccah Hamilton.
