TAMPA — The University of Tampa last week officially opened the largest academic building on its campus.
According to a press release, the 91,000-square-foot, six-story Graduate and Health Studies Building will house nursing and physician assistant medicine programs, a health science lab, a physics lab, study spaces and faculty offices. UT’s Office of Graduate and Continuing Studies will also be located in the building.
The physician assistant medicine program is new to UT for the 2018-19 academic year; two floors of the Graduate and Health Studies Building were specifically designed for it.
The space includes a clinical skills lab, patient simulation labs, assessment rooms, digital anatomy lab, classrooms, study spaces, offices, a conference room and a unique moulage room, which is a specialized area for applying mock injuries for student training.
