CLEARWATER — BJ’s Wholesale Club plans to open a new store in Clearwater in spring 2019, located at 26996 U.S. Highway 19 N.

In a press release, the Westborough, Mass.-based members-only wholesale club chain, which operates 215 stores nationwide, states that it could save Clearwater-area shoppers up to $50 million per year on their grocery bills, based on Bureau of Labor Statistics consumer surveys on household spending.

The Clearwater BJ’s Wholesale Club, according to the release, will offer same-day delivery service. Shoppers will also be able to buy goods online and then pick them up at the store.

BJ’s has opened a membership center at 26034 U.S. Highway 19 N., in Clearwater, where shoppers can join the club at a discounted rate prior to its opening.
