SARASOTA — First Home Bank has opened a new branch in downtown Sarasota.

The bank is at 2033 Main St., suite 101. According to a press release, it is First Home Bank's first branch in Sarasota County.

The bank is staffed with eight people. Tom Quale is First Home Bank’s president for the market.

“Community banking allows you to personally help improve customers lives, whether it’s helping a business with a loan to expand or opening an account to help your children learn to save,” says Quale in a statement. “We have the ability to make an impact on our customers and their future.”

The new Sarasota bank has a modern design with teller pods and art by Sarasota artists.

"First Home Bank has a top-notch SBA [Small Business Administration] lending division ranked ninth in the nation, plus a national mortgage lending division," says CEO Anthony Leo in a statement. "The experience of these two divisions combined with the local team of experts in Sarasota will resonate well with the personal and business banking needs in this community.”

First Home Bank was founded in 1999. It is headquartered in St. Petersburg. According to a statement, the bank has total assets of $354 million. It operates five banking centers in St. Petersburg, Seminole, Pinellas Park, Clearwater and Sarasota.
