TAMPA — Atlas Professional Services has acquired a 6,470-square-foot shell building at 3415 W. Horatio St., Tampa, for $1.45 million. The seller was Wagner Construction.

According to a press release, Atlas, a fast-growing managed service provider that grossed some $6.85 million in 2017, will relocate its headquarters from a leased location in Westchase to the new building when buildout is complete.

The new, larger space will enable Atlas, which employs 32 people, to double its staff. Over the past few years, the company has ranked on multiple local, regional and national lists recognizing fast revenue growth, including the Inc. 5000 and the Business Observer’s Top 500.

“It was a better financial decision to own versus rent,” states Gregory Zolkos, CEO and founder of Atlas Professional Services, in the release. “Now we have the ability to be in control of our own destiny. And, we wanted to be in a business area rather than a residential community like Westchase.”

Atlas plans to spend an additional $750,000 on renovations to the property. The improvements, which include a second story and a 520-square-foot outdoor rooftop lounge, will increase the square footage to 8,600.

“We liked buying a shell property because we can make it exactly what we want it to be,” Zolkos states in the release. “During my due diligence process, I developed a conceptual floorplan to make sure it would be the ideal choice.”
