TAMPA — Brock Communications, a privately owned, Tampa-based public relations and marketing firm, has been named the agency of record for the Tampa Bay Rays 2020, a nonprofit founded by area business leaders that’s working to keep the Major League Baseball team in the Tampa Bay region.

“This work combines our interest in community with our expertise in sports,” states Lisa Brock, owner of Brock Communications, in a press release. “We are looking forward to working with the TBR 2020 team.”

According to the release, Brock has worked with major local, national and international entertainment and sports brands, including Busch Gardens, the Super Bowl, the Olympic Games, the World Cup and Major League Soccer. She has also worked directly for the Rays as a media trainer and consultant.

Tampa Bay Rays 2020, according to the release, backs Rays owner Stuart Sternberg’s plan, announced in February, to build a new stadium for the team on a 14-acre site in Ybor City and is engaged in efforts to ramp up awareness and private equity support for the project.
