Attorney joins competing practice in partner role

FORT MYERS — Longtime Henderson Franklin attorney Luis Rivera has joined another area firm, GrayRobinson, in a shareholder role.  

Rivera joins GrayRobinson’s bankruptcy practice group, where he’ll focus on representation of lenders, landlords, individuals and financial institutions in all matters of bankruptcy and creditors rights-related legal issues., according to a statement. He also has extensive experience in a variety of business and general litigation matters, including contract disputes, real property litigation, mortgage foreclosure, landlord/tenant disputes and title insurance litigation, the release adds.

“Luis brings a breadth of bankruptcy and business litigation legal experience to the firm that’s very valuable to our clients,” says Mayanne Downs, GrayRobinson’s President and Managing Director, in the statement. “We are so very pleased to welcome him to the firm.”

Rivera first joined Henderson Franklin in 2003 as a summer associate. He joined the firm officially in 2005, and was there through February.
