Readers of our online stories may notice something a little different. Today, we launched a complete redesign of our website, BusinessObserverFL.com.

Don’t worry, all the stories and features that you have come to expect from us are still here. But the way they look is new improved.

The largest improvement in the new site is its design. It’s responsive, meaning it will optimize content for the device you're using to access the site. For those of you used to pinching and scrolling your screen to read our stories on your phone, you’ll find a much better mobile experience with this upgrade. We’ve also updated our navigation and search functions, to help you find articles more easily.

Another new feature is our online calendar, which allows users to upload calendar items to the website using Tockify, which has more options to include images, maps, directions and other information to promote events. One feature that has been removed is our press releases submittal function. Instead, these can be sent to the editor in your area for coverage. See the Contact Us page for those details.

If you are reading this message because you subscribe to our e-newsletter, you’ll notice a new look for that as well. This new template allows us to feature more content in an easy-to-read way, with the same stories you’re used to receiving right in your inbox. Don’t get The Daily Brief? You can sign up here to get the top business news in the region delivered daily by email.

And, like any new technology, there will be some bugs at first, so we thank you for your patience as we get these corrected. We hope the new site improves your reader experience, and if you have any feedback, please share it with Executive Editor Kat Hughes at [email protected]. We'd love to hear from you.
