Following in the footsteps of biotech giant Amgen, M3, a supplier of cloud-based accounting software for hotels, has chosen to make a big commitment to Tampa and its rising reputation as a source for tech talent.
Headquartered in Gwinnett, Ga., M3 first opened a Tampa office in 2009. More recently, in February, it announced it plans to spend $1.6 million to move to a new, larger space on Avion Park Drive near Tampa International Airport. K&K General Contracting will perform the updates to the 8,386-square-foot building. Architecture firm HOK will handle the design.
“Our new Tampa home embodies M3's message of innovation and evolution,” says Casi Johnson, M3's COO and innovations leader, in a release. “With our new space, we will play a larger role in Tampa's growing tech ecosystem and will continue to add new features, customers and capabilities while attracting top-tier talent.”
One more sign the Tampa Bay region's tech community is thriving? M3 says it already has plans in place to expand its new facility by 2,000 square feet in anticipation of additional growth and hiring.
