TAMPA — In mid-February, Suffolk Construction officially topped off the first building at Manor Riverwalk, a new, 400-unit luxury rental community in downtown Tampa.

Topping off the tallest north tower building marks a major milestone in the completion of the first phase of the project, which is being developed by Miami-based Related Group

“We're extremely pleased with the progress of this major development in Tampa's downtown core,” states Josh Christensen, vice president of Suffolk's west coast Florida operations, in a press release. “We are also incredibly gratified to be apart of such an important part of Tampa's evolution."

Once all phases are complete, the community will include an eight-story waterfront complex with a center wing that appears to float over a pool.

Located on Tampa's South Parker Street, Manor Riverwalk is the first major development on the western bank of the Hillsborough River. Construction has been underway since July 2017 and the project is expected to be completed in early 2019, according to the release.
