Hospital names new member to board of trustees

Col. Todd Chace served two tours in Iraq and two tours in Afghanistan overseeing medical units.

ENGLEWOOD — Englewood Community Hospital has named Dr. Todd Chace to the board of trustees. 

Chace joined the medical staff of Englewood Community Hospital in 1987.

He is acknowledged as Col. Todd Chace, state surgeon of the Florida National Guard. He retired in 2013 and served two tours in Iraq and two tours in Afghanistan overseeing medical units. He has been awarded the Legion of Merit and Bronze Star. 

“The addition of Dr. Chace, a long-standing community leader, is a true asset to the Board of Trustees," says CEO Valerie Powell-Stafford in a statement. "I look forward to his insight and contribution to our team as we continue our focus of providing the highest quality of healthcare to the Englewood and surrounding communities." 

Englewood Community Hospital is a 100-bed, acute care facility.
