Nonprofit names new board leadership

Michele Grimes, an attorney at Williams Parker, has served on the Sarasota YMCA board since 2016.

SARASOTA — The Sarasota YMCA board of directors elected Michele Grimes as chair, Kim Githler as vice chair, Peter Powers as treasurer and Dan Dannheisser as secretary.

They will each serve two-year terms. 

Grimes is an attorney at Williams Parker. She has served on the board since 2016. She was secretary for the past year and serves on the finance committee.

Githler is president of financial media and education company MoneyShow. She has also served on the board since 2016. Githler chairs the development committee and serves on the governance committee.

Powers is a retired engineering executive. He has served on the board since 2017. He is on the finance and governance committees.

Dannheisser is attorney at Paderwski & Dannheisser. He served on the board from 2014-16 and rejoined it this year. He is on the youth and family services/foster care committee and development committee.

The other members of the Sarasota YMCA board for 2018-19 are Erik Arroyo, Paul Bowman, Charles Bryant III, James Buchanan, Wyatt Chocklett, Clay Cobb, Ronda Gallehue, Trevor Harvey, Ed Landis, Larry Lev, Lynette Mancuso, Bill McClure, Jim Sartori and Candy Swick.
