Tech company receives $15M in new capital

SARASOTA — Health care communications technology company Voalte announced plans to accelerate growth with $15 million in new capital from Silicon Valley Bank.

The company also announced it hired William Gish as COO and Debora Craig as human resources director.

“The combination of this new capital and the strengthening of our executive team position us perfectly for further growth and innovation,” says Voalte founder and CEO Trey Lauderdale in a statement.

He says the company will accelerate growth by investing in salespeople; marketing; research and development; and increased project implementation capacity.

According to a press release, Gish has more than 25 years of experience in the health care technology and telecommunications industries. For 12 years, he worked for health information technology company Cerner Corp. For the past six years, he was a member of the Voalte board of directors.

At Voalte, Gish will be responsible for the engineering, product, finance, human resources and services departments. He will also lead the company's daily operations.

Craig has more than 25 years of experience in human resources. According to a statement, she is highly regarded for her expertise in creating leadership training and employee development programs; office growth plans and strategic growth initiatives. At Voalte, Craig will be responsible for human resources as well as employee growth and development.

Voalte develops smartphone solutions for caregiver communication. It was founded in 2008.
